Snowboard Wax & Tune

A regular tuneup will keep your snowboard in tip-top shape. You will notice the difference in your ride. Snowboard Wax and Tune costs $35. Bring in your board early for best return times. During peak winter time, return time is usually a 2-3 days. We also repair damaged bases and edges. Bring your board in for pricing and details on repairs.

How often should I have my board tuned?

About every 5-10 days of riding or so should be about enough. If you see white stripes on the base of your snowboard, this is oxidation. It means its time to wax. You will get this type of oxidation on your board if you store it all summer long without a protective coat on it.

This is oxidation.

What does the wax and tune include?

First, the base is cleaned to remove old wax. Next, the edges are sharpened to remove any burrs on the outside metal edge.

Wax is then melted onto the board and smoothed. After the wax dries, excess wax is removed and your base is left smooth.
